Abstract:
Human error is an ever-present source of safety risk. In the industrial world, big and small, human error is mitigated using a variety of systems. These systems ensure that human attention is not the deciding factor in keeping everyone safe. This seminar will use principles from my experience in industry (pharmaceutical QA and semiconductor manufacturing) to show how human factors can be mitigated and how to make sure attention is not being used as PPE.
