The American Association for the Advancement of Science – Pacific Division (AAAS-PD) is pleased to announce our 2024 Annual conference and initial call for poster and oral presentation abstracts as well as proposals for symposia or workshops.
The AAAS-PD is part of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), an international non-profit organization with the stated goals of advancing scientific excellence and achievement, fostering equity and inclusion for scientific excellence, building trust among scientists and communities, and catalyzing progress where science meets policy. It is the world's largest and most prestigious general scientific society, with over 120,000 individual and institutional members. AAAS publishes the well-known scientific journal Science.
The conference will be held from June 17th-20th, 2024 at the University of San Diego. Student registration is $50; professional is $95. We welcome abstracts from across the natural, physical, social, and health sciences as well as engineering and artistic/humanistic analysis of science. Abstracts are encouraged from individuals from all walks of the scientific endeavor – high schools, community colleges, universities, and professionals from industry or government. Our conferences have a heavy focus on student work, both graduate and undergraduate – and we will be awarding a plethora of monetary awards for excellent student poster presentations. We even have a little extra travel money available for students who present geoscience research.
Abstracts must not exceed 250 words. Submitters will be notified by April 15th whether or not their abstracts are accepted.
