TransAtlantic Science is a consulting company committed to supporting our clients’ needs in the innovation space. We have a medical device/diagnostic client that is launching an early-stage research initiative in Irvine CA. We need a talented scientist or engineer to perform bench research. We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented associate to join our team on a contract part-time basis. 

As a part-time contract associate at TransAtlantic, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of the medical device product innovation process. This contract position will provide exposure to electrochemical biosensors and on body fluid sample collection. 

Responsibilities: 

  1. Bench work 
    • Perform laboratory experiments. 
    • Learn to operate and maintain scientific equipment. 
    • Assist in troubleshooting device issues and collaborate on design solutions. 
  2. Quality Control 
    • Establish the biosensor test process. 
    • Conduct quality inspections on finished products and raw materials to ensure compliance with specifications. 
  3. Documentation & Reporting 
    • Maintain accurate laboratory records. 
    • Prepare regular reports on laboratory results 
    • Contribute insights for sensor enhancement.

Qualifications: 

  • BS, MS or PhD in a science or engineering field (received or in progress) 
  • Prior laboratory experience 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
