Light-matter interaction, far field and nanophotonics, ultrafast phenomena and condensed matter physics and chemistry. Precisely at the intersection of these fields, our research aims at exploring, understanding, developing, and utilizing photonics to gain deliberate control of the physical properties of media and to understand their dynamics, explore driven states of matter, and enable new functionalities of individual and condensed matter systems. Ultimately, our goal is to understand and control the nature of light-matter interaction across times and scales. Graduate and undegraduate projects (theory and experiment) are available.
